Terms of Use
Last updated 31 July 2026. By using this website you agree to these terms.
Informational purpose only
Content on Local Knowledge Fishing is published for general information and entertainment. It is not professional, legal, safety or navigational advice. Fishing regulations, bag limits, size limits, closures and licensing requirements change frequently and differ by state and territory. You are responsible for confirming current rules with the relevant fisheries authority before you fish.
Safety
Fishing involves inherent risk, including from water, weather, vehicles, rock platforms, boats and wildlife. Assess conditions yourself, carry appropriate safety equipment and never rely solely on information published here. You participate at your own risk.
Accuracy
We work to keep content accurate and dated, but make no warranty that it is complete, current or error-free. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it.
Intellectual property
All text, photography, illustrations and design on this site are owned by Local Knowledge Fishing & Camping unless otherwise credited. You may link to and quote short extracts with attribution. Republishing full articles, or using our content to train commercial models without permission, is not permitted.
Third-party links and advertising
This site contains links to third-party websites and displays third-party advertising. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of those sites. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Local Knowledge Fishing & Camping is not liable for any loss, injury or damage arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Paid subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Some features (the Fish Finder Pro map, the Premium Guides membership and AI Studio) are paid. Prices are shown in Australian dollars on the relevant pricing page before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Any free trial converts to a paid period at the end of the trial unless cancelled beforehand.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing portal or by emailing knowledgefishing@gmail.com. Cancellation stops future charges and access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Lifetime purchases are one-off payments for ongoing access to the features included at the time of purchase.
- Refunds: if a paid feature does not work as described, contact us within 14 days and we will fix it or refund that billing period. This is in addition to your Australian Consumer Law rights, which we do not exclude.
- We may change prices or features with notice; changes apply from your next billing period, never retrospectively.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape, resell or bulk-copy the site, share paid account access, attempt to interfere with the service, or use it to break the law. We may suspend access that breaches these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. We may update them from time to time; continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the current version.
